Culver City CERT needs volunteers to be “victims” for a Disaster drill on Thursday, October 19th from 5:30PM to 9:00PM. Volunteers will be simulating various injuries. CERT Members will search for victims, triage, transport, and treat victims.
Volunteers should wear old clothes that can get dirty and bring a jacket in case it gets cold. Volunteers can also bring water, snacks, and a small book to read during down time.
Volunteers must be at least 11 years old. Community Service will be given to Scouts and High School Students. Bring your forms with you to be signed.
WE HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS NOW.
Good Evening, we are conducting a preliminary search for our October drill. More information will be provided later. But as of now we are looking for a block in a NERT that can be used as a potential site where your neighbors are willing to work with us and you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you think your neighborhood could be a potential site. Or facebook message Stephanie L Benjamin or Erik Mayer.
The CERT General Meeting is this Thursday, May 4th at the Vets Center at 7 PM. The meeting will be in the Rotunda Room.
The agenda for the meeting is attached. The featured event at the meeting will be hands-only CPR training. The training will be led by Stephanie Benjamin, M.S. EMT-B from The Center. The Center provides CPR, First Aid, AED and Emergency and Disaster Awareness Training. You are welcome to bring friends and family to learn this important life saving skill.
See you on Thursday.
